Bob Seger, Hell Yeah

BOB SEGER By Tom Wills

If you went to any American high school between 1976 and 1986, you like Bob Seger. Admit it.  You may not love everything the guy put out, but you like Bob Seger. Write that down.

Now, if you had a car, especially if you had a Camaro, you worshipped Bob Seger. You took Bob to and from school, work, dates, movies, any trouble you liked.
You punctuated "Bob Seger" with "Hell yeah."

Night Moves, The Fire Down Below, Sunburst.  The power trio from '76.
Live Bullet. All 14 songs. You know them by heart.
Hollywood Nights. Still the Same. Feel Like a Number.
Even Now. Makin' Thunderbirds. Roll Me Away. Little Victories.

You went out and bought the reissues: "Seven." "Smokin' O.P.'s."  You have the acoustic "Brand New Morning."
All of it on vinyl.
Fire Lake.  Long Twin Silver Line. Her Strut.
You even liked "Like A Rock" before it became a Chevy commercial.

I drew Bob Seger almost exactly a year ago, February 2011. A rainy vacation day gave me an opportunity this year to rethink the picture, and tinker. I have trouble leaving well-enough alone.
All I really did was add a bit more definition to the original. I remixed Bob Seger, and Let It Rock.

Bob Seger is for sale.
